The ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL) is a premier University Center at the College of Engineering at the Ohio State University (OSU) devoted to world-class electromagnetic scattering, antennas, propagation, remote sensing, wireless, signal processing, sensor fusion and photonics research areas. Established in 1942, ESL is a distinctive center where world class faculty and research scientists lead projects that provide state-of-the-art exploration in its own separate building with more than 60,000 sq. ft. and superior student training. In addition to our indoor anechoic chamber RF measurement facility, we have a complete complement of electromagnetic test facilities. For more information on ESL, please visit ESL is also the founding member of the Consortium on Electromagnetics and Radio Frequencies (CERF). Under this consortium, member companies have access to the facilities, faculty and student researchers as well as specialty training courses that are tailored to member needs. Annual technical meetings are held to further cultivate the research relationship with members of the consortium and to share the latest research findings between ESL-CERF members. The specialty courses (short courses) and technical meetings are open to US-based industry personnel who are members (Industrial Affiliates) of the consortium. The School of Computing and Engineering (SCE) offers undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS and PhD) degree programs in computer science, information technology and civil, electrical computer and mechanical engineering. SCE’s Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering degrees are all accredited by the Computing and Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, respectively. Currently, SCE serves more than 1300 students. Faculty, staff, classrooms, laboratories and student workspaces are housed in Robert H. Flarsheim Hall, which was constructed in 1999 and is located on the main UMKC campus just blocks from Kansas City’s world renowned Country Club Plaza.
